Steps To Edit Host File on Windows 8,8.1,10 this method also work on windows 7..etc version :)
- Open File Explorer
- Go to this location C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
- Open Properties of hosts (file)
- Uncheck the Read-Only Permission
- Click Security TAB
- Under Security TAB Clik "Edit" Button
- Select User and Enable "Modify" & "Write" Permission
- Click "Apply" & then "Ok"
- Once again Click "Apply" & "Ok"
- Now double click on "hosts" file and open with "notepad" & Start edit & save It. :)
- Close the explorer
Using Command Prompt
- Open command Prompt
- on window 8 & 10 use "windows+X" key & Clik command prompt
- on windows 7 use "windows+R" key & type "cmd" then hit enter
- IN COMMAND PROMPT
- Type cd..two times
- Now type this cmd "cd windows/system32/drivers/etc"
- Now type "notepad hosts"
- Edit hosts file and save it :)
- THATS ALL :)
